N.Saddul College was founded by late Nunkishore Saddul in 1961. It was previously known as the Queen's College until 1977. Since then, the college is run by the N. Saddul Board of Trustees. The board's main objective is to give children of both sexes and of all communities access to the college. It also aims at providing assistance to needy and deserving children, to enable them to pursue their studies. The board follows the principle set by late Nunkishore Saddul, that is, to promote the development of education through the teaching of science subjects, humanities and social sciences. Starting with 36 students, now the school has more than 1000 students up to HSC level. The school also runs Pre-vocational classes since 2003.
